Pushpanjali Drums Featured in ET Energy: Strengthening India’s Industrial Packaging Landscape
Pushpanjali Drums Pvt. Ltd. (PDPL) was recently featured in the ET Energy – Oil & Gas supplement, highlighting our expanding role as a trusted industrial packaging partner for India’s energy, chemical, and lubricant sectors. Operating out of a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Karjat, Maharashtra, PDPL produces heavy-duty mild steel (MS) and galvanized (GI) drums. Established in 2006, our core product range focuses on 160- to 235-liter capacity barrels, with total production capabilities extending from 10-liter containers up to 235-liter industrial drums. To ensure absolute material integrity, we source raw steel directly from industry leaders like TATA Steel and POSCO Maharashtra, processing it on an automated Italian high-speed manufacturing line capable of producing 3,000 barrels per shift.

Advanced Manufacturing Solutions for Energy & Chemical Storage
Built for High-Risk Industrial Fluids
Transporting hazardous materials packaging, corrosive chemicals, bitumen, and high-viscosity lubricants across global supply chains allows no room for error . To address these critical demands, PDPL engineers specialized drum configurations tailored to distinct fluid properties:
Composite drums: Built with an inner HDPE liner (1.0 mm to 1.5 mm thick), combining chemical resistance with the outer impact strength of steel for aggressive media.
Lacquer-lined drums: Formulated with specialized internal coatings to prevent reactions with sensitive chemicals, specialty lubricants, and food-grade materials.
Container-optimized packaging: Open-top and gooseneck drum variants engineered to maximize spatial efficiency, allowing up to 80 drums to fit securely inside a standard 20-foot shipping container.
To ensure uncompromised safety compliance, every batch undergoes rigorous in-house drop testing, hydrostatic testing, and leak testing. PDPL holds essential quality and safety credentials, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, alongside BIS compliance and Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) accreditation for UN-certified drums used in hazardous goods transport.
Sustainable Packaging for a Circular Economy
As Managing Director Raj Valia shared in the ET feature:
"Our focus has always been on building long-term trust through transparency, reliability, consistent quality, and a clear understanding of how we need to cater better to our customers. As the energy, oil and gas, and industrial sectors continue to evolve, Pushpanjali Drums remains committed to strengthening its capabilities and supporting customers with dependable packaging solutions."
Beyond structural durability, steel remains one of the most sustainable packaging mediums available due to its infinite recyclability. Honored with a Bronze Rating in the EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment, PDPL utilizes 100% recyclable steel containers. This closed-loop recycling model helps energy leaders lower their carbon footprint without sacrificing heavy-duty containment reliability.
Expanding Our Footprint Nationwide
To meet escalating industrial demands, PDPL is actively expanding its nationwide manufacturing network. The strategic roadmap includes establishing additional regional production hubs across India to optimize supply chain solutions, reduce lead times, and deliver responsive localized support.
By combining advanced manufacturing tech, eco-friendly practices, and strict quality control, Pushpanjali Drums continues to execute its founding promise: "We Commit. We Deliver. Anytime. Anywhere."
